As a lifelong reader of novels, articles, blogs, and more, I have always cringed at the sight of simple mistakes left after publishing. I feel very strongly that these mistakes are unfair to the author, and sadly misrepresent the quality of the work they have put forth.
Open Book Proofreading Service was launched in 2018 by me, Jamie Kassik, and its purpose is to help you represent your best self, with your best writing.

In 2004, I graduated Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I taught first grade, but I wasn’t settled in my career choice. After several years at home raising my three children, I decided to go in a different direction. In my home I am known as a walking dictionary with my extensive knowledge of words, grammar, and spelling; so it only made sense to pursue a career as a proofreader.
